Alternate Programs

School District #22 offers a variety of alternate education programs to meet a variety of students' needs.  From the community based alternate learning centres to the home based vLearn, School District #22 has a program designed to suit you.  All programs are under the supervision of certified professional teaching staff.

Four Progams to Choose From:

  • The Open Door - Courses for adults and senior secondary students situated in downtown Vernon
  • CrossRoads - Located in Lumby and catering to adults and adolescents wanting to complete their schooling
  • Six Mile - Self-paced, individually monitored, education centre for adults and adolescents located on the Reserve of the Okanagan First Nation.
  • vLearn - Online or paper-based courses for completion at home with a variety of on-site activities.
  • ALP - Alternative Learning Program - The ALP offers individualized course programs for students working on coursework at the 8 – 10 levels and offers both modified and adapted programming for students working at lower grade levels.
